Heavy Frequency aims to provide recognition, respect and media coverage for the talented, promising heavy metal, hardcore and hard rock acts emerging from the Midwest underground. Heavy Frequency provides such free promotional services as a regularly updated shows calendar, weekly mailing list and classifieds section. Heavy Frequency also offers numerous helpful resources, including an extensive and continually growing list of Midwestern venues, and an elaborate list of links to bands, studios, labels, magazines, radio stations, merchandise companies and other promotional resources. The Heavy Frequency staff prides themselves on providing fair, unbiased and accurate coverage of the Midwest metal, hardcore and hard rock music community. The magazine encourages any interested parties to join the volunteer effort to support local music, and visit the help wanted page.
Heavy Frequency Photo Policy:
All writing and photography on Heavy Frequency copyright Heavy Frequency, 2002-2006. Materials from Heavy Frequency may be used for print, media, online, publicity and other public purposes provided that proper credit be given to the writer or photographer, as well as the magazine, along with the website address. Appropriate action will be taken against those who violate applicable copyright laws and infringe upon the Heavy Frequency photo policy.
Heavy Frequency Review Policy:
To submit an album for review, the disc must be considered heavy metal, hardcore, or hard rock in genre. The album must have at least four songs. Please include a piece of paper with the following information, or the disc will be disregarded: band name, album title, release month and year, track listing in numerical order. Please also include contact information for the band: a contact name, phone number, e-mail address, website address and mailing address. Reviews do not necessarily represent the views of all Heavy Frequency staff members or the viewpoint of the magazine as a whole. The opinions expressed in all reviews are solely the possession of the author. By submitting a CD to Heavy Frequency for review, you consent that you are aware of the Heavy Frequency review policy.
