Nominations
This year’s nominations were truly outstanding. Congratulations to every single individual who was nominated for Heavy Frequency Awards V—it is quite an achievement to be recognized by the public for your hard work and achievements in 2007.
We counted 65 public ballots from the Heavy Frequency forum, and 55 ballots submitted privately via e-mail. Thank you to everyone who submitted your ballot to recognize your favorite Missouri and Kansas artists in rock, metal and hardcore. Note that there were several ties this year for the top five, so in some categories you will find six nominees instead of five.
All of us at Heavy Frequency Magazine kindly thank you again for your nominations. While we greatly appreciate the ability to be recognized in the top five, we must politely decline the nomination so that others who greatly deserve recognition may have the opportunity to receive a Heavy Frequency Award from the readers. It means the world to have been a part of the Midwest music community for the last eight years, and we are so fortunate to have been a part of such an amazing musical family.
Again, congratulations to all of the top nominees, and congratulations to the entire music community for another successful year plugging away at living the dream. We hope to see you all at the ceremony on February 17 to accept your nomination, and hopefully, your award.
